Good News

News 2 is one person away from having a full staff again. I heard people speculate the VJ move was implemented by management to reduce staff but I haven't seen that happen. We did lose a few talented employees but their heart was no longer in the job and that is okay because we have filled our openings with quality people who are excited about being a VJ.

An interesting fact someone recently pointed out to me is that the other stations in Nashville currently have more positions posted for employment than we do. Especially at the present time because the only available position right now is for an executive producer. So if you are interested about coming on board at News 2 as an EP you better hurry, the line is already forming.

If you want a job as VJ, you'll have to wait until the network calls me up!?! :) LOL, I wouldn't hold your breath for that to happen!

Did they really cancel the four and four thirty in the afternoon WKRN news shows?

If they did, then of course you would be at "full staff"! You forgot to mention you weren't doing as much news so you won't need as many people. Of course they won't hire any more!

The other stations do have jobs open. They are hiring enough people to do a GOOD job. That's why their ratings are so much better than WKRN.

Ouch. That aside... cool beans to you guys Todd!! I am glad you are almost at full staff again. I am sure that is a great relief to you and everyone who was trying to cover for the missing people! ;)

Uh, WKRN still does both a 4 and 4:30 newscast. Nice try, Steve.

They won't be doing news at those times much longer! Watch and learn.

Nice try Steph!

Count yourself as one of the lucky ones so far Todd.

KRON is laying off a lot of the newly trained VJs. Be happy you guys haven't gotten a kick in the gutt like that after drinking the VJ koolaid.

For all the hype, it sure doesn't look like the folks who own your station are living up to the Rosenblum idea of how things were supposed to work.
